Ihab Badran was born in 1952 in Maadi, Egypt. He went to Victoria College in Maadi and the Academy of Fine Arts in Zamalek, majoring in Interior Design. He worked as a sound studio manager for EMI Records Ltd ., on the news desk for NBC News Cairo, as a sound studio manager for Americana Advertising, then as Account Manager at Ogilvy & Mather, Bahrain, and as Chief Communications Officer at the Egyptian American Bank (EAB). In 2003, Ihab immigrated to the US with his American wife; to become Managing Director of the translation company Global Definitions Ltd. After returning to Egypt many years later, he works as a marketing contractor for a US company in Virginia from 2016 until today.
